Excellent lunch : clams on half shell were good size, bluefish was moist and great taste, bread was very tasty, fried zucchini and mixed veggies were cooked perfectly. Definitely returning to this restaurant.
Some of the best seafood I've had, and I grew up in the area so I've had my share of edibles from the salty waters. The fried stuff is amazing - the coating is super thin and light, allowing the glorious flavors of the fresh seafood to punch you right in the face. Had calamari with marinara sauce as an appetizer but when I asked for more sauce for my girl, it was as if the marinara no longer existed; both the waitress and bus girl insisted it had been cocktail sauce. I felt like I was taking crazy pills for a minute or two, but whatever. Other issue is no outdoor seating, but the inside has a cozy atmosphere.
The best seafood place on the shoreline. Even when it is very busy, the food arrives quickly and the service is great.
NEVER a bad meal... always fresh & delicious seafood, and the friendly staff are eager to serve. I've been going to Lenny & Joe's sincerely I was a young man, and I always enjoy my meal. Every time I go, I HAVE to buy several of their annually-changing T-shirt's. Such that, over the years, they've managed to comprise close to 1/2 of my summer wardrobe.
This place is always crowded and the food that's pretty good is very popular with the older crowd. The service is cheerful accurate and fast. The prices are reasonable. The lobster roll is a big favorite with my family. I subtract a star because it's crowded and noisy most of the time because it's so popular.
